Elvis Presley, Kacey Musgraves, Doja Cat, Denzel Curry, and the film’s star Austin Butler will also feature on the soundtrack.

HIGHLY anticipated Elvis Presley biopic – directed by Baz Luhrmann will release next month, and details for the accompanying soundtrack have been unveiled recently.

The full artist lineup for the “Elvis” soundtrack has been revealed – Eminem, Tame Impala, Stevie Nicks, and Jack White all feature. However, it has not been revealed which songs they each will be recording.

The soundtrack will include “original songs and recordings” by Presley himself along with the film’s star, Austin Butler. American singer Cee Lo Green will join Eminem on a track, while we will also see a collaboration between Swae Lee and Diplo.

The lineup also includes Kacey Musgraves, who said on the Met Gala red carpet that she’ll be doing “Can’t Help Falling in Love” for the film; Maneskin, whose version of “If I Can Dream” was used in a recent teaser trailer; and Doja Cat, whose “Vegas” was already released as the album’s first single.

Besides that, in the compilation, there will be songs by Chris Isaak, Denzel Curry, Jazmine Sullivan, Måneskin, and Pnau. And, the late funk, soul, and blues artist Rufus Thomas, who died in 2001, is also credited as a contributor.

A release date for the soundtrack has not been revealed yet, but the film will release on June 24. Elvis, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 25, will explore the life and music of Elvis Presley, particularly focusing on his complex relationship with his manager Colonel Tom Parker, played by Tom Hanks.

We will see Helen Thompson as Elvis’ mother Gladys, Richard Roxburgh as his father Vernon, and Olivia DeJonge as his wife, Priscilla Presley. Other cast members include Luke Bracey, David Wenham, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Josh McConville.

About the film, Elvis’s ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, tweeted: “Let me tell you that it is nothing short of spectacular—absolutely exquisite. Austin Butler channeled and embodied my father’s heart and soul beautifully.

“In my humble opinion, his performance is unprecedented and finally done accurately and respectfully. Thank you for setting the record straight in such a deeply profound and artistic way.”

She also added that the film brought her to tears. “I’ve seen ‘Elvis’ in the film,” she said. “I watched the trailer over a dozen times, but the words I heard from my daughter [Lisa Marie Presley] on how much she loves the film and that Riley will love it too when she sees it brought tears. I relived every moment in this film. It took me days to overcome the emotions as it did with Lisa.”

During an interview at Cannes, Presley’s granddaughter, Riley Keough, said that watching the film was an emotional experience. “In the first five minutes, I could feel how much work Baz and Austin put into trying to get it right,” said Keough.

“That made me emotional immediately. I started crying five minutes in and didn’t stop. There’s a lot of family trauma and generational trauma that started around then for our family. I felt honored they worked so hard to really get his essence, to feel his essence. Austin captured that so beautifully.”

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Presley’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, tweeted: “Let me tell you that it is nothing short of spectacular. Absolutely exquisite. Austin Butler channeled and embodied my father’s heart & soul beautifully.”
