The Film Is Released Via Apple TV+ This Friday

Music documentaries have long remained one of film’s most compelling genres, allowing viewers an insight into the lives of some truly iconic personalities within the music world and telling the stories behind their work that we may have otherwise never heard.

Billie Eilish

Stars of the genre over the years include Asif Kapidia’s Amy, a heartbreaking look at the life, career and ultimate loss of celebrated singer Amy Winehouse, and Supersonic, a film by Mat Whitecross which charts the meteoric rise to fame and subsequent fall from grace of the Noel & Liam Gallagher’s Oasis.

This week sees an exciting new addition to the genre, with the release of RJ Cutler’s The World’s A Little Blurry, a surprising look inside the life of one of music’s biggest rising stars, Billie Eilish!

Having won four Grammys, released her platinum-selling album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and recorded her very own theme for the James Bond franchise, Billie Eilish has achieved more before the age of 21 than the majority of us will achieve in a lifetime.

With all these achievements and the validation of millions of fans globally, you’d more than likely expect that Billie Eilish might have lost herself a little within the world of money, fame and influence.

However, The World’s A Little Blurry shows a very different side to the singer, with the trailer of the upcoming film even beginning with the surprising admission that she often sleeps in her parents’ bed.

I’m scared of monsters,” she says, candidly.

The World’s A Little Blurry looks to show the star at her most authentic, as she records her multi-award-winning album in her childhood bedroom, embark on a sell-out world tour and give her thoughts on adolescence, fame and what it really means to explore who you are and what you want from life.

Whether you consider yourself an avid fan of Billie Eilish and her music, a casual listener or even if you’ve never heard of her (but then, who hasn’t?), The World’s A Little Blurry is sure to make for an incredibly interesting viewing experience, earning a rightful place on the list of iconic music documentary films of the 21st century
If you’d like to watch the film for yourself, The World’s A Little Blurry is available to stream exclusively on AppleTV+ from this Friday, February 26th. We can’t wait to see it!
